I've been writing the PERPETUAL series for nigh unto fifteen years. Part of the subject matter, the depletion of our natural resources and a solution to the energy crisis, becomes more poignant every day. Global warming, greenhouse gasses, alternative forms of energy, environmental issues, and gas prices are front page and CNN top stories. I do hope Matthew succeeds and does it post hence as time is running out for our small planet. I’m waxing into fiction. Or, am I? If all goes as planned, PERPETUAL II will come out in 2009, and III in 2010. Maybe by then, the world will be on the right path. If not, I’ll have to finish books IV through X. Did I tell you, book X is about the world in 2060? Maybe by the time X is finished, I will have to move that out to 2090.
April the 16th was a big day. Can a day be big? I would have used an exclamation mark, but there really are too many of those, these days, so I’ll leave it alone. PERPETUAL went LIVE (shouldn’t use caps too often either, but it is MY blog). Hey, the first Family & Friends promotion pre-bookseller order (easy for you to say) came through at 9:07 am from my good friend Estelle in Miami; now that’s appropriate, as the plot, encompassing the myriad of subplots, unfolds in her backyard, SoBe, Miami Beach. There’s a foreshadow in that last sentence.
As always, thank you for coming along on the PERPETUAL road.
Enjoy the ride.
